GILLETTE, Wyo. — A 61-year-old man was arrested last night for felony aggravated assault and battery after he allegedly struck his daughter with a cooking pot, according to Gillette Police Capt. Jason Marcus.
The man, whose identity was not released on May 19, reportedly became upset when an argument broke out over a Nintendo Wii at a residence on East Laurel Street between his daughter, 19, and her friend, Marcus said.
According to Marcus, the man grabbed a cooking pot on May 18 and struck his daughter on her head and shoulders with it after he came downstairs to tell them to stop arguing.
Emergency medical personnel responded and the 19-year-old woman was transported to Campbell County Health with a head injury, Marcus said.
The man was taken into custody after his daughter’s friend, also 19, and his wife, 52, told officers that he hit the woman with a cooking pot.
